Interview with Angie from “Baby Cheapskate”

After my son was born, I found myself scouring the circulars each week trying to find the best deal on diapers. I realized that I could make it easier on other parents by posting what I found and what I learned about getting a great bargain on the web.

Almost a year.

Baby bargains, local diaper and formula prices, deals I find on other sites, shopping tips, fun stuff to do around Atlanta, rip offs, and more.

I love Mom Advice blog, ParentHacks, Blogging Baby, The Shopping
Queen, Kiddley, Parenting Ideas, Mr. Nice Guy. If I was better at HTML and had more time, I’d give you links.

I’ve found that the blogging community is by and large very supportive of the efforts of its members. If you read something great at another blog, let your readers know about it. People will do the same thing for you. And don’t try to adopt a persona that’s not natural for you.

Absolutely!

My mom does.

I love GottaDeal.com. It’s a deal forum. I’ve learned so much about couponing. They also list freebies, contests, sweepstakes, and more. BargainShare.com is very similar. I also like Judy’s Book (judysbook.com), which lists reviews of local businesses and services as well as products.

When my son’s asleep and before I go to work. Usually around noon. In my office on an old laptop with dial-up.

Ten hours, maybe?

I don’t use Technorati to find blogs, per se. I actually have too many to read and not enough time as it is. I use Technorati to find specific info that I remember reading on those blogs. I find new blogs on the links lists of other blogs, usually.

I can’t remember. It was a long time ago.

I don’t remember, specifically. It might have been the now defunct Chez Miscarriage. I started reading blogs when we were going through some infertility stuff before my son was born. I wanted to see how other women dealt with the same issues.

My son, simple things in nature, art, a good book, my husband.

Nope. I would if I had more time, though.
