Maintain a regular schedule of writing, even if it’s not on a daily basis – such as weekly or bi-weekly, research your topics thoroughly, develop regular features/departments so readers have something to return to and expect on a regular basis

Yes, I think commentary is a good way to make topics more personal and relevant, and it generates other conversation that may not have come about, which is always effective toward learning, absorbing and to bounce ideas off others with similar interests.

I have definitely learned more about myself and how others see the world, how to maintain my own web site, and met some fantastic people with similar interests. I have seen so many great blogs that cover similar information that my own does, and it inspires me and drives me to create more information and educate people.
