I blog for me. I’m a writer, and blogging is great for practicing the craft of writing. It keeps me going and is a great creative outlet.

One year ago! June 10, 2008

My life, my thoughts, my family, my dog, last night’s dinner, where I’ve been.

Keep at it. It can be frustrating to work so hard to have very few readers, but if you just keep going, producing something worth reading, the readers will come. If you continue to be consistent in the quality of your work, readers will stick around.

Yes. I think the dialogue is helpful and important.

Yep. My family reads it every day. Some of my friends read it; others don’t. To be honest, that’s frustrating to me.

Only one: Trip Advisor’s travel forums. Love them!

I blog at home–wherever I happen to be sitting. I blog whenever I have time or whenever the mood strikes me.

Probably a couple of hours a day.

No.

Hmmm. I’m not sure, but it was probably Lysa TerKeurst that I began to read regularly.

God, my family, great literature.

No.

Blogging had been THE best creative outlet for me. I’ve gained confidence in myself as a writer. I’ve found that I’m pretty good at expressing myself. I have learned so much about myself along the way. The past year has blessed me more than I ever thought it would. Plus, I’ve made a few new friends through it.
Other blogs have helped me a lot too. If I find someone who’s writing style I like, I have challenged myself to try to write a post like that. Reading blogs has also helped make me a better writer.
