Interview with Domestic Goddess from “Musings of a Domestic Goddess”

“Musings of a Domestic Goddess”

http://musings-of-a-domestic-goddess.blogspot.com/

I have a couple of family members that blog and I started reading theirs. I decided to give it a try and now I am HOOKED!!

I have never been good at writing in a journal. I am a keyboard girl more not a pen and paper girl.

I think as women, we tend to lose our selves in our other hats: mom, wife, worker, slave laborer, taxi driver, gopher. But I digress.

Blogging is a great way to express thoughts and ideas and get them out of your head. It can validate your thoughts and ideas and at times, what we do. It is also personal “me” time.

I have been blogging less than a month now.

I blog about things that are going on in my life.

With two teenage daughters, a naughty pug, an 18 year marriage and being a stay at home/ work at home mom. things can get kind of busy and hectic.

As a newbie myself, I am probably not the best to give advice. I can say what I like to read though.

I like a blog that has a clean look to it. If you are blogging something long, break it up in paragraphs for visual white space. It is more pleasing to the eye and easier to read.

I emailed my URL to my family and friends and have had many comment either on the blog, via email, or in person.

Thankfully the comments have all been good!

I blog from home in my office. My little world where I spend my day.

Probably more than I should :)

I am doing a lot of surfing right now trying to find more blogs that I enjoy. Probably at least one hour per day.

I love things that are beautiful, fun, happy or make me smile. I think there are enough things in life to drag us down that I try to surround myself with things that lift me up.

I think that is why I enjoy scrapbooking and gardening so much. The scrapbooking helps me focus on family and friends and creating fun and beautiful layouts around those topics. Gardening can’t help but lift you by reminding you that God is in charge of everything. Plants and flowers are miracles around us every day.

Not yet, but I have a bunch percolating around in my head!
