Glamorous Redneck - a look into the life of a city girl who married a country boy and their quest for happily ever after.

I blog because it puts me in touch with the outside world. There aren’t a lot of people out here in Podunk who get me. But there are thousands of people who understand exactly where I’m coming from out here in cyber space!

I started in August of 2003 over at bravenet. I’ve had my Glamorous Redneck blog since May of this year. Change is good, because I’ve been loving the new people I’ve met in the blogosphere!

Usually it’s my day-to-day life, with a little nostalgia mixed in. I’ve had a pretty colorful life, and the past is FAR more interesting than the present at most times.

I love amalah.com, rockstarmommy.com, pointless-drivel.com, and tons of others.

Just get it set up and write what’s interesting to you. The audience will come. But if you’re like me and don’t feel validated until someone comments, try joining a traffic boosting website like blog explosion or blog mad.

I usually don’t comment in my own comments. Then it skewes my validation. Yes, I am a sad, sick, strange person.

NO! Then I wouldn’t have anyplace to vent! lol I suppose if they really wanted to read it, I would let them, but most of my friends and family are not as internet inclined as I am.

Not really.

I usually blog either at my lunchbreak at work or at home. Lately it’s been at home because I’ve barely had a chance to eat at my lunchbreak.

Oh geeze, I probably spend about 15 minutes doing my own writing, then probably an hour or two reading all the blogs that I stop at every day.

No. I’ve come across some pretty cool blogs just by checking other people’s blogrolls. I figure if I like what one person writes, I’ll most likely enjoy where they link to.

One of my friends (www.bigskygirl.blogspot.com) was always talking about her “blog” and how fun it is to “blog”. And I was like, “what the heck is this blogging thing?” I checked it out and set one up and I was hooked!

The girl mentioned above. I don’t even remember the name of her blog at that time. She’s moved about a frillion times since then, so it’s hard to keep track. (just kidding, BSG, ya know I love ya)

Everything and anything. A clip of a movie that reminds me of something that happened back in the day. My kids deciding to do strange things like wash their hair in the toilet. And reading. There are so many cool stories in this world–both fiction and non-fiction–that I’m constantly amazed and inspired

Nope.
