Adventures of Wondermommy

I started blogging as a way to share information with family and friends that live far away from me. Then, I realized that I wanted to share my crafts with others. I wanted to help those that were making the same mistakes that I was making. I also love connecting with all of the other crafty people out there. My blog has been a great way to meet wonderful new friends that, otherwise, I would have never known.

My family blog started in May of 2005…I was announcing that I was pregnant with my daughter. Wondermommy, my craft blog, started in December 2007.

I blog about crafts, mainly sewing and crocheting, but I try lots of different things. This is my main focus, but occasionally, I hit topics such as my life, children, and photography.

I have a ton of blog faves. Of course, 5 minutes for mom. But I also love:

Jennifer Paganelli’s blog Sis Boom Daydreams

Sandi Henderson’s Blog

Anna Maria Horner’s
Do it because you love it, not because you think you are supposed to.

I love chatting and “meeting” the visitors to my sight. I also love questions. I try to answer them all.

Yes, they check in regularly.

I usually blog in my little office/craft area at home. Sometimes I write the posts in my journal…other times I just free form it at the screen.

I read blogs every single day. I love them and I love checking in with all of my friends.

I write maybe three or four times a week. I schedule some posts so that they actually post on later days. I try to have a post a day, but that isn’t always possible.

I use Technorati.

Everything inspires me. I can see value in everything. My biggest inspirations are my children and holidays.

Yes, I currently sell my craft items on etsy:

I have learned a great deal about myself through my writings. It has opened my eyes in so many ways. It has also made me a better crafter and photographer. I try extra hard to get things right for my readers. It has completed my life. Before, I was a SAHM not knowing where I wanted to go in life. Now, I have some real vision that has been brought about by entering the online craft community.
