No Small Thing

I sent around a story about a booger and shopping at Target, by email. I got a lot of comments about how funny it was, and that really propelled me into bloggydom. I want to remember all this stuff!

I started in January of 2008!

My children. They make me laugh, they make me cry. They make me insane.

Don’t stress over the look of your blog when you first start out. It is the content that will keep people coming back. (Just look at mine–still rather plain!)

I guess it’s hard to give a lot of advice, since I consider myself somewhat of a newbie!

Absolutely! That is some of what makes this fun!

I haven’t told the family yet…do I really want them to know everything??? A few of my offline friends know, and they have been really supportive. I think they are seeing a different side of me.

Hmmm…maybe 15-20 hours per week?

Could someone please explain the Technorati to me?!

I think it was Rocks In My Dryer…still read it today!

Seemingly insignificant things…the way the sun hits my children’s hair…my little boys holding hands…finding a love note in my den full of X’s and O’s…the way my baby girl snuggles into my shoulder when she’s ready for bed, watching my daughter grow up and realizing I am raising a little version of myself.

It is sucking up all of my eat-ice-cream-and-watch-tv time. No, kidding.

There used to be a spot on a weekend news show where a guy would throw a dart at a map of the USA and wherever it landed, he would go. When he got there, he would grab the white pages of a phone book, and randomly choose a home, go to that home, and do a story on that person’s life. “Everyone has a story” was basically the idea. Sometimes, it is not readily apparent, but there is always a story.

I think I’m finding-through blogging-that I have a story, too.
