I blog as an easy way to pass along my knowledge about baby sleep and enable parents to read it in smaller doses than one of those 300+ page books about the history of sleep, all with contradicting advice. I am now a sleep consultant and help tired parents one-on-one with their unique situation. I also have an easy-to-follow e-Book called Help Your Child Sleep, a Step-By-Step Guide that will help parents develop a plan.
This is near and dear to my heart because when my son had a lot of sleep problems, I was at my wits end and no one was really there to ask questions. It took me a long time to help him sleep better, so once I did, I made it my mission to help other parents, so they do not have to go through what I did. Now, I’ve helped countless parents and it makes me feel great!

I started blogging in March 2008 after my second son was born and he slept on my lap for his first 8 weeks or so. I had several hours a night where I was just sitting down, so I figured, why not?

Yes!! I love when people leave comments and I can “talk” to them. I love to know what people think of my articles, even if they don’t agree with them.

Not really. How many people care to read about baby and toddler sleep every single day? LOL! I have a personal blog too, but it’s hard to keep up with when you have a husband, 2 kids, a “day job”, and an online business.

It surprisingly takes much longer than I thought writing blog posts. I want them to be good and not just slapped together. They need to be useful, so I probably spend a good 2 hours, or more, on each article and I post a new article at least once per week. Then, there are posts that require more research. At the time I’m writing this, I think I’ve been working on a post about sleep and postpartum depression for weeks!

I believe it was a woman on a message board I frequent who had a blog, but I learned a lot of the “blogging ropes” through an online friend and the person who designed my website, Selene Bowlby of iDesignStudios.

Well, I’m sure I happened upon a blog here and there, but the first regular blog I read was Selene’s, my web designer.

I recently also became a partner in another company, Babble Soft, which is software designed to help take the worry out of parenting your newborn. I will also be writing for a blog on this site, very soon.
