Interview with Tracey from “Grace Come By Hearing”

I have always loved to write and have kept a diary since I was 12 years old. I started blogging as another writing outlet. I’ve found a lot of new friends and much support in my struggle with infertility and adoption.

I started blogging in January of this year, but I think it took me about 3 months to find my style and be happy with what I was publishing each day.

Topics I normally blog about are infertility, my adoption journey, daily life, books I’m reading, great recipes, life as a teacher and crafts.

Some of my favorite blogs are:
, a blog for mom’s,
Amy’s take on life as a stay at home mom, Bri’s journey through adoption, a great place to find other blogs and an organizer’s helper. I’m sorry for leaving all the others out, but I wanted to just give you a small taste of the kinds of blogs I visit. I have all my favorites listed on my sidebar and I truly visit them all, daily.

Without overloading you, my advice to newbies would be to:
1. visit other blogs to see what people are talking about and to get ideas on all the neat things you can have on your blog.
2. play around with all the neat widgets and devices.
3. comment a lot and it will bring traffic to your blog.
4. write as often as possible.
5. have fun and enjoy the experience. You won’t regret it!

I absolutely LOVE comments. Part of a successful post, for me, is how many comments I get. I’ve also met a lot of really great people this way. I like to know what people are thinking after they read my posts.

I usually spend about an hour, usually more, a day writing and reading blogs. I have my posts written and ready about a week in advance, but I will also add in extra posts for that day as life unfolds.

Blogging has been an amazing blessing for me. I don’t feel alone anymore with infertility and the adoption process. I can also give back to others like me. This has been a great way to share my life and experience others lives that I might never have had a chance to know otherwise. I feel and hear God through others every day.
