Interview with “Craving Baby”
“Craving Baby”

As a freelance writer it felt natural to want to write about my journey towards mommyhood. Blogging is a way to share my experiences and an opportunity to learn from the experiences of other women.

I began blogging on various sites beginning in January of 2008.

My personal journey towards mommyhood as well as news, information, products and services that mommies across the country are interested in.

I bounce around to a lot of blogs. There are only a few I read very regularly. I don’t agree with everything these moms think… but I’m not a mom yet myself… so who am I to judge. I do find their lives interesting, their stories heartwarming and hilarious and their perspectives fascinating:
A Womb at the Inn(sane), MomLogic, MommieMayhem,
Mommy Confessions and of course 5 Minutes for Mom

Give it a shot. I read somewhere that there are more than 100,000 new blogs created every month. The most important thing is to keep with it. If you don’t post regularly there’s no reason for your readers to come back. Some of my posts are very quick… but I really make an effort to post every day… in the end I think that will set me apart.

I love comments! There’s nothing better than receiving validation that someone is reading what you write. I’ve been lucky not to have any angry comments yet… although I don’t really post about anything too controversial. I have to remind myself to post comments on other mom’s blogs. If I love it.. I’m betting they do to.

I blog anonymously… so for right now only my DH knows about my blog… I think once I get pregnant I may tell my family and friends that I’m Craving Baby.

I visit the TTC forum on Fertility Gal almost daily. I’ve been so impressed by the support that women are willing to provide to total strangers every day… it gives me a great feeling about humanity.

I blog from my office at home. I do most of my layout and designing on the weekends and I try to post early in the morning, around noon and in the evenings when I can.

I am working almost full time on a new blog that is getting ready to launch soon. I can’t say what it is but it’s going to be fab. I spend about 30+ hours per week blogging and reading blogs.

Technorati and AllTop are my favs for searching for blogs.

To be honest I don’t even remember.

TMZ.com

Women.

Yep.. but I’m not telling. You can guess if you want to.

I see blogging as playing a major role in both my professional and personal future. What a fascinating way to share information between countless people.
