I blog because I’m a proud mother, a successful business woman, and a strong leader - and I want to share what I’ve learned with other women! For me, being a powerful woman means providing others with the tools to be successful in their work and happy in their lives. It means teaching women how to strike a balance between all of the roles we as women must fill and bring our feminine wisdom into every aspect of our personal and professional lives. It means learning from the generations of female role models in our lives and sharing their insights with other women, creating a “wisdom network” that we can all benefit from. I blog because I want to be a part of that network, share that wisdom, and help elevate women to higher levels of personal and professional success.

My blog “Workplace Wisdom” centers around professional development with a dash of inspiration and personal (often funny and heartfelt) stories from myself and my readers. I wanted to create a resource for women that would provide them with the insights, tips, and tools to boost their careers, find their passion and inner strength, and live lives of greater satisfaction and fulfillment. My blog features posts on everything from how to write a killer resume to silly stories about what’s going on in my life to simple ways we can be the best women we can be.

There are too many to name! My blogroll is a mile long because there are just so many incredible blogs out there, and every time I come across a new one, I have to share it!

Absolutely! I welcome all sorts of comments, even the those that challenge me to think from a different perspective - sometimes those are the most interesting!

Yes, my friends and family often pop onto my blog to read about what I’m up to or in some cases, to get a little free advice on their careers!

I’m currently running several websites, and there seem to be more on the way! My main website that focuses on my professional speaking and houses the resources I have for my readers is: MichelleYDrake.com. I also have a website specifically for my new book “From the Kitchen to the Corner Office: Mom’s Wisdom on Leadership” at KitchentoCornerOffice.com. I offer a free monthly eZine called “Lipstick Leadership” that features updates, tips and a featured article, and people can sign up here at LipstickLeadership.com.
