I can’t seem to stop myself! I have a masters in creative writing, and this is a great outlet for me that gives me a break from the joy and frustration of novel-writing. It’s a great way to connect and share information with other people!

I never thought I had anything interesting enough to write about until I got pregnant. I had not been journaling and wanted to keep a record of my thoughts and feelings. I also really wanted to talk about home birth, since a lot of my friends and family did not know much about it, and I wanted to have a way to assure them that I had not lost my mind.

The wild ride of being a parent! I talk about our little family’s daily adventures as well as things I’m trying or am passionate about: home birth, cloth diapering, the vaccine debate, roller derby, breastfeeding, Jesus, baby-wearing, attachment parenting, etc etc.

Chain yourself to a laptop if you want to stay current! Read a lot and connect through comments.

Yes! I love when people actually provide a way to contact them (link to blog or profile) or send me an email. I’m way to into talking with strangers.

If they really call themselves friends and family, then yes. ![]()

Not so into forums.

Throughout the day from home, often while breastfeeding!

Waaaaay too much.

Often I check what blogs friends are reading, or check up on the blogs of people who leave me comments. If I’m feeling adventurous, I’ll search through the links at Blogher or Blogamama or the Mom Blogs.

I think I heard of it somehow in terms of being an online diary, not at all what blogs seem to be today!

A friend who was going to Iraq started blogging about her experience there. I read every day to keep up with what she was doing (and HOW she was doing) and then started reading the blogs she linked on her page.

That sounds like a Miss America question. I’m not sure about “inspires,” but living life on the edge interests me and keeps me moving. I like thinking and living outside the box.

I have a blog of family photos with very little to no writing: http://www.robokiki.blogspot.com

Besides distracting me from other important daily chores, blogging has been a great outlet for me and a great way to connect with other people in the online community. I’ve enjoyed spreading the word about things like home birth and cloth diapers and hearing that other people have been affected by reading things I write.
