As an “outlet” and means of journaling, and as a way to connect with other moms and maybe even help someone else through their own motherhood journey.

The summer of 2008

I write my 2 y/o daughter, everyday experiences of motherhood, issues with the special medical needs (for our daughter) we constantly juggle, product reviews, parenthood issues (discipline, teaching, bedtime, feeding, etc.), our attempts at going green and simplifying our lives, and random fun things that I come across.

I’m still a newbie, so I need advice myself! But, I’ve already learned that you’ve just got to hang in there through the days with very few “hits” and the total silence of no comments.

Definitely! That’s one of my favorite parts of having a blog! I’m very sad and depressed on the days with no comments and only get through those days with lots of coffee and silliness with my daughter.

Yep! I’m trying to make all of them read it every day, but it’s hard to police.

I blog mostly from home, but take my laptop with me if I’m on the road. I’m also pretty much constantly blogging in my head. The shower is where I do my best thinking.

Hmmm…. A LOT!

So far I’ve found blogs through other blogs. I joined All Mediocre because I found it to be a great resource for other parenting blogs out there.

I can’t even remember. When our daughter was born, she had to be in the NICU for her first 3 months. I started a site that I posted at every day so that friends and relatives knew what was going on. I guess that was my first journey into blogging, but I didn’t even know that’s what it was called then. Somehow, I stumbled upon Baby Gadget, and from there, I think I connected to other blogs, and one thing led to another.

Is Baby Gadget a blog? After that, I got hooked on Thingamababy.

My daughter and my husband. Random acts of kindness. Honesty. Trustworthiness.

Nope.

I’ve definitely learned more about myself just through the process of writing. I also learn more about products and topics that I write about, because I feel strongly about researching or testing stuff personally before posting about it. I think I pay more attention to life and moments now, because I’m thinking about writing about them. And I’ve definitely been encouraged and challenged by other bloggers to improve myself and my writing.
