The Marriage column encourages personal stories that help to strengthen and enhance marriages. The articles can be warm, humorous, enlightening and/or encouraging with a positive outlook toward the future. Stories can also be shared about marriages that have encouraged you but I warn the writer to be careful not to share details that may be considered personal or private. All articles should have a Biblical foundation.
Some suggestions for articles are: How the couple met (how did God bring you together); The early, mid and later years of marriage; Living your wedding vows; Becoming one in Christ; The sacredness of marriage; Building communication and intimacy; Thriving in an unequally yoked marriage; Growing in love, loyalty, forgiveness and healing; Compromising; Anniversaries (taking a look back or celebrating your marriage); Dating (spending quality time together, ideas for fun and productive dates); Love and respect; Climbing out of a marriage rut; Dealing with the health problems of a spouse (in sickness and in health); The lose of a spouse, and so forth.
Articles submitted should be between 400 and 1000 words.
If you wish to contribute an article for the Marriage column, you can contact us by completing the form below.
Please be sure to include “RE: Marriage Column” in the subject line. Please also include your name and a link to your blog or website, and a 2 to 3 sentence biography about yourself that will be included at the end of your article.
