Our pastor was talking this Sunday about opportunities we have as Christians, and how we need to look for opportunities. But many times the opportunities are there, we just can’t miss them.
I also think for some people the opportunities are just there because they are willing to share. I think of Mother Teresa, Billy Graham and others. I don’t think they waited for open doors all the time, I think they were/are just there loving on people constantly. But, we do need to keep an eye open for opportunities to pray, share our love of Christ and so forth.
“We are often faced with difficult opportunities disguised as unsolvable problems.” I don’t know who said this but it is an excellent quote. Pastor shared several stories in the Bible of opportunities. Samson marrying a Philistine woman (Judges 14:1-). It may not have been right but God took that decision as an opportunity and used it for good. Jesus raising Lazarus (John 11:14-) and Peter often jumped at opportunities such as healing the crippled beggar (Acts 3:7-).
No matter how stupid or ridiculous the decisions we or our loved ones make God can take that decision and use it as an opportunity for good.
“Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; Make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone” (Col 4:4-6).
“Beloved, let us love one another for love comes from God.
Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God…God is love”
Amen.

Great message for us as believers!
I love the reminder not to wait for doors to open! Thanks!
