What a wonderfully encouraging devotion. I can see joy on your face as you share this. I also often wonder at the disciples who literally walked with God on earth. They were his chosen disciples and for all the others who followed Him. Thank you and God Bless!

Awesome devotion!!! It should be our main focus each day as we wake up and as we go to bed to walk with God!!! My husband and I are young and struggling with our finances. It is easy to think about what we can do, but instead we need to give it to God and truly walk with Him through all of our circumstances. He is our everything and we need to focus on Him for our every need!!! Thanks!!!!

How it is for women, I don't know. But, for the man, walking with God, is a moment by moment challenge. The pressure of life can be used in a postive way to mold a person in a manner acceptable to God or if the christian resists, can result in bitterness and disappointment. I've fought the Father for over twenty years. For me, the war has been with the only one who truly loves me. What a waste. My ambitions and plans never happened. Money, wife, family. Trying to force the issue, I've made bad decisions. And now, just maybe, I'm getting the message. Although not at the bottom, close enough to say enough. No more rebellion. I'm going to lift myself back up to walk with the Father as a believer judicially pure with the absolute hope of eternal life. The "lifting up" was helped along after I revisited and read various passages in the book of Job. Sobering. Very sobering. Like Job, I should put my hand against my mouth and shut up and should never challenge God the Father.

I will say, despite the negative, my life has had some positive things. And nearly all pertain to what I've learned through my Bible studies. One thing that troubles me, is the lack of knowledge regarding the very important issue of "salvation" and "redemption". There seems to be so much confusion. Is it faith alone or is it faith plus works. That is, is salvation a process. I believe the God is clear. It is faith. By agreeing with the work of Jesus Christ, an issue of faith, we pass from the death unto life, instaneously. Our new status is that of "perfection", a judicial imputation, a free gift from God. Paul spoke of the gift of righteousness and receiving the atonement. The suffering endured by Jesus Christ, while on the cross, was sufficient to satisfy God the Father's demand for justice regarding the penalty of all human sin, unlimited atonement.

Enough said. I hope I haven't scared anyone away. Thanks. KP

I love to walk with God and I think it is important that we think of it in that respect. Our faith is a journey that we do walk with God. God would walk in the garden of Eden and you know He must have fellowshipped with Adam and Eve during this time. I just love the idea of the good talks and trust that Enoch and God must have had. I can just imagine how the disciples felt as they walked and talked with Jesus and the laughs they must have had.

What a great devotional to start the year off, Angie. Sticking close to God is the best place we can be. Thanks for giving us the steps in walking along with Him.

I love the devotional today! I think it should be made into a book mark or something we could put up somewhere as a great reminder of the keys to Walking with God. Just an idea. Thanks!!
