“Take every thought captive”. I love that verse. I also quote “Create in me a clean heart O God and renew a right spirit within me. If my heart is clean and for God, it is much easier to take my thoughts captive and choose what I want to meditate on. God Bless!

A very good reminder, Tamera. Our ladies study did a whole study on this last year and it sure made you more aware of what you were letting your mind dwell upon and what you could be filling it up with instead.

I think I really need to keep this in mind. With my own anxiety issues, I sometimes get overwhelmed by ANY thoughts… so I think I need to be prayerful in letting God help me choose my thoughts during those times.

Something in this finally clicked for me. I have read that passage in Luke many times, but it was the “You can choose your thoughts.” that really hit home. Looks like I have some housecleaning and redecorating to do tomorrow!
