Researchers call berries the powerhouse fruits.
Though little, berries pack a powerful punch when it comes to protecting the body. Studies show that berries are nutrient-rich with antioxidants and vitamin C. They are also are packed full of other vitamins and protective agents the body needs for good health as well.
A handful of berries several times a day can help protect your heart, eyes and brain cells from degenerative diseases. It doesn’t matter if you eat berries fresh, frozen or dried, the health benefits are the same. Studies have shown the best pick are berries with dark pigment.
