I think I am going to pretend I am a super patient mom, and a really thoughtful wife, and you know, maybe today I will act like someone who only eats when she’s hungry... as I watched once on Martha stewart apprentice.. one of the girls said "fake it til you make it".. and though Martha didn't think it was right, I think we can't make it til we do the actions, even if it is "faking it" at the moment... great thought provoking post! …In the meantime, maybe it’s time for me to do a little bit of pretending. I was just having that same conversation with the women in my Bible Study this morning, over the issue of sin and wanting to be a new creation. When we become a new creation, we are no longer slave to the sin. We are set free in Christ. That doesn't me we won't sin...it means we don't have to keep on sinning. (Romans 6:18). I think such a key element to understanding all this is realizing it does start in our minds...and acting "as if" seems like a brilliant way to start living in the freedom Christ has paid for us!
