Love Is…

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
-1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Today my husband and I are celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary. In nine years, we have been through a lot. We lost out first child, Matthew John. We moved to a different state. We bought a house. We have had three children. We have gone through periods of unemployment. We have lost loved ones. But as I look at my husband, I love him more than I did as a 20 year old girl.

Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their work:
If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
-Ecclesiastes 4:9-11

The Bible is all about relationships and love is the main theme that runs through it. Our love for God, God’s love for us, and our love for one another. The love that we feel for each other is an exceptional gift from God. It is a gift- one that we should receive with joy and give thanks for.

  1. Congratulations! We will also be celebrating our ninth anniversary this year, and you are right - it is amazing what life can bring and what God can do in only nine years. I like my husband better now, too. :)

Happy, happy Anniversary to you and your hubby, Laura!
