What a great perspective, Laura. I have to admit that every time my eight-year-old asks how many days, and she gives out the shout, I also feel a little more excited! Reading some of the Christmas memes going around about childhood memories brings a smile to my face as well remembering.

Wonderful post, Laura! It's all about choosing our perspective, isn't it. Your moment with your girls made me smile as I imagined you with them, dropping your list and just enjoying and being excited with them. Precious!

Ah, yes, to choose joy in the midst of the hurriedness. This is precious. Such a blessing you are! Merry Christmas!

This was a really great post. I try not to let the hustle and bustle of the season get to me. We live on a very tight budget and sometimes it can really get to me because I can't buy everything for everyone that I want to. But, it can also feel like a blessing because I make inexpensive homemade gifts for them and they really do enjoy them. It saves money, but it makes for wonderful memories. Thanks for sharing your experience with your kids...it makes me want to jump up & down, giggle, and shout....Christmas is almost here!!! I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
