Faith Builders - Thankfulness Challenge

Posted By Heather

Make it a habit to tell people thank you.
To express your appreciation,
sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return.
Truly appreciate those around you,
and you’ll soon find many others around you.
Truly appreciate life, and you’ll find that you have more of it.

Truly appreciate life. Those words speak to me in so many ways. How many times do we walk through life, and miss so many of the blessings around us? The laughter of our children, a phone call from a friend. The small things. There are so many blessings around us that we walk right by and never think twice about. Think about the joy we are missing by not slowing down and being thankful for those things we typically dont even notice.

This week is thanksgiving. My challenge to you is to daily write down the small things you are thankful for. Not the obvious things, but the little things that happen in your life. Journal them, so you dont forget them. Truly appreciate them.

Truly appreciate life, and you’ll find that you have more of it.

I hope you don’t mind me redirecting people to my recent “Blessing Basket.” It’s something I do weekly to highlight some of the blessings in my life. I’ve done for years because of an Internet list I was on and I can’t imagine not continuing to do my “Blessing Basket.” It makes a difference in my week. :)

A great challenge Heather. I’m going to do this on my site for the whole week. Looking for the little things to be thankful helps to cultivate that thankfulness so that that is who we become, a thankful and grateful people.
