The Lord is good to me
And so I thank the Lord
For giving me
The things I need
The sun, the rain and the apple seed.
The Lord is good to me.
Amen.
In our family, we say grace at every meal. The prayer just above this- the “Johnny Appleseed” grace- is very popular here. And very fitting. I hope that by sharing my faith and giving the Lord my thanks and praise, I am planting seeds of thanksgiving in my children that will bloom and last them a lifetime.
I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving.
-Psalm 69:30

My son is in charge of grace around here. Every meal, he insists that he says grace. I love it!
I always need to work on creating a spirit of thanksgiving in myself and in our home to help teach Jackson. Thanks for the reminder - I will be working harder at it!
We say grace at every meal too. And I’m trying to be an example by being more spontaneous with just pausing to say thank you to the Lord through out the day, to make a natural part of who we are. Just a quick “Thank You” out loud for whatever it is. I love that this month’s theme has helped to make me more aware of purposefully doing that.
