Today, I want to do something different. You see, there is a family who, today, wake up to face the reality that their child has gone on to heaven. Canon underwent a heart transplant, and sadly passed away early Sunday morning. Today, I want us to represent the christian blogging community and cover his family in prayer.
Today, there will be many tears. There will be hopelessness and confusion. But today, lets lift them up to our heavenly father and blanket them with prayer and comfort.
Father, I honestly dont know what to say or where to start. My heart aches for this precious family. As a mother, my biggest fear is losing one of my children, I cant image the heartache or despair. I do know that you promise hope, and you call your people to love and comfort in dark times. Lord, let us minister to this family, even if from a far. Help us cover them in prayer. Wrap your arms around Carla, hold her close to your heart. Help her feel your presence and trust your will. Encourage her to find the hope of the tomorrows she will face without her son. Show her a peace that only can come from you. I lift up Canons father, how his heart must ache for his son. I pray that you would mold his emotions and hold his hand as he anchors his family in the moments to come.
Thank you for being a God of so many promises. Thank you for loving us in the midst of our pain. Thank you for holding us when we dont have the strength to hold on to you.
If you would like to participate in todays meme, I only have one request. Post a prayer for this family on your blog. Pray for their future, and for the understanding in the purpose of all of this. I know Carla and her husband will appreciate it, and as a community, its the one thing we can do. When you post on your blog, encourage your readers to join you in prayers for this family.

What a beautiful thing you’re doing Heather. I will definitely post a prayer for them tomorrow.

Thanks you Heather for this beautiful idea. My prayer will be up shortly.
I really appreciate what you are doing…this is exactly what a grieving mama needs…to be covered in prayer!! And not just for this week but for the weeks to come…thanks again!
I am praying here. Thank you for doing this.
Thanks for doing this, Heather. I’m having trouble verbalizing my prayers for Carla - my heart just aches for her… But I’m thankful for the Spirit - through Him, I’m praying along with all of you…
Thank you for hosting this. I know some years back when I asked folks to pray for my mom, some of them sent back written prayers that they had prayed for her, and it touched her heart so much. I hope Canon’s mom sees these and is ministered to by them.
I usually don’t take/make time to participate in the Monday Memes (although I wish I could), but how could I possibly NOT participate in this beautiful meme for this precious little one’s family.
A lovely idea! Thank you.
I am praying now for Carla and her family. I pray for God’s purpose for Canon’s life to be continually revealed to the whole family and all who knew him. I pray for that magnificent peace that surpasses all understanding.
What a lovely thing to do for a family that is facing a heart-wrenching time. My prayer is up and I look forward to uniting with others in prayer. God bless!
Prayers going up…without ceasing. Posted one on my blog as well. Awesome Idea, Heather!

My prayers are with you…as best as I can. My heart breaks for you…
I’m sorry to hear of your loss. I’ll be praying for you all.
I am so sorry for your loss. While I have lost close loved ones in tragic ways, I can not imagine losing one of my children. They truly are your heart beat. I know you have heard, and will hear this a thousand times. So I simply say, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I think I accidentally listed twice on here…Sorry!
