Walmart: 5 Tips to Save

1. Walmart accepts manufacturer  and select local competitor coupons.  Local competitor coupons are limited to coupons that state a price for the item, such as “$2 for (1) Dove Body Wash”.   They will not accept a local competitor coupon for “$2 off (1) Dove Body Wash”. The product purchased must match the item described on the coupon exactly.

 

2. Walmart matches local competitor advertised prices.  Simply bring the local competitor ad to the cash register when checking out and show it to the cashier, so they may adjust your price.  Products purchased must match the item described in the advertisement exactly.

 

3. Each week, the circulars released by Walmart often only include regular store prices and are regional.  It’s very rare that this weekly circular includes sale prices and, therefore, is often not nationwide.  Walmart does release weekly nation-wide sale circulars around holidays.  To find true sale items each week, you must look in-store to see what is marked.  This varies by store!

 

4. Walmart’s regular store prices often vary by region and sometimes even from store-to-store within the same area. Generally prices are reasonably close, but some may vary greatly.

 

5. Walmart often offers free samples of brand name products and high-value coupons online, plus free downloadable music.
