So there’s some good news and some bad news…

by Janice

The good news is I got to see my baby’s heartbeat today. The bad news is there is a small tear in the baby’s sac.

At about 4am this morning, I woke up with cramping. I was up most of the night with the pain and finally at 8am, I decided to go up to the hospital. An ultrasound found a baby in the uterus – with a heartbeat! That is good! I thought we were in the clear.

But then we had to wait (for hours) for the doctor’s interpretation of the results, which brought the bad news. The doctor assured me that she has seen many of these tears and most of the women go on to have healthy babies.

I am trying to cling to that hope – but as you can imagine – I am worried.

So – if you have some spare prayers laying around – I sure wouldn’t mind if you sent some of them up for this little baby.

Honestly girls, I don’t know how I am going to deal with another miscarriage. And if this one does end up in a miscarriage, I don’t know if I can keep trying. It is so hard.

I am heading to go get some rest now…

Hope you are all doing well. And I am sorry I have been so sick and out of it that I failed to mention the Hidden Treasure Blog Awards have been going on. The winners are announced now, including our dear friend Barb, so head on over and take a look!

Of course you’re frightened and worried, Janice. I’m so sorry. But honestly, your doctor’s words are very encouraging. Please just take good care of yourself and put you and this sweet baby first. And think positive! Thinking positive is the best medicine I know.

And you got to see the baby’s heartbeat! Yay! I know you were disappointed last visit.

Thank you for your sweet words about me. I swear, everyone out here is so nice to me it’s a wonder I can still walk through doors around here, my head could get so big. But it won’t. I’m not like that. Really. I’m not. :-)

You know you and the baby are always in my prayers.

I’m praying for you and your baby Janice. I’m so sorry that its not a worry-free pregnancy (although is there such a thing?) but He is faithful. Wonderful news that you saw a tiny heartbeat. When do you see somebody again, will you have another ultrasound soon?

Lord God, I lift Janice and her baby up to you right now. I pray for the healthy development of her baby, Lord. We know that you have a plan in all situations far beyond our comprehension. Help Janice to stay faithful in your promises. Help her to have peace right now. Help her to not be anxious…to not worry. You are holding her in your arms Lord. Help her feel your comfort. Help the doctors to provide her the best care possible. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Oh Janice.((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))) I know you must be out of your mind with worry and fear right now. Trust in the Lord, he will do his perfect will. We lost a baby in April 2004 and when i went on to get PG again I almost lost the baby again 3 times and I know that fear and the thoughts that I can’t do this again, i can’ t lose another child. God is good though. He will do what is best for us. It took alot of prayer and time with God to take my fear away(it was a battle for me each day to turn that fear over to him) and to get me to put my turst in Him to do what is best. You and your sweet little baby will be in my prayers non-stop. ((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))

Now that you’ve seen your tiny baby’s heartbeat, know that this child of God is comforted by yours. Claim the Father’s love and compassion for you and the baby, and rest in your heart… mommy bodies are too busy to worry! Praying for you. :)

Lord, I lift up to you Janice and pray for you to surround her with peace. May you pour into her heart and mind your truth, and may she believe it…that you love her, knit together this child in her womb, and have plans for this baby and her every single day. Father, keep her mind from wandering, and from borrowing trouble from tomorrow. Keep her in today, in the moment, and fill her with a heart and attitude of gratitude for all that she has right now. Thank you, Lord, that none of us have to walk this road alone and we can turn to you every single moment. Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness!

In Jesus Name,
Amen!

Praying for God’s healing power over your baby and your heart. Your particular pain is not one I have yet faced. Yet I try to always be prepared in case this is the one. I remind myself that I am not “having” a baby. I HAVE a baby. Right now and from the moment God formed my little on in secret we have been blessed with this child. If I never see his or her face on this earth, I know that I will see it in Heaven. Because this child exists and will ascend. Your baby is with you right now. Your other baby is in the most glorious of homes, and you had the honor of having a part in that. Each of us prays that our children’s souls will one day reside in Heaven. So I try to take comfort in knowing that even if God’s timing is not my timing, the goal is the same.

Praying for your strength and comfort dear sister.

Oh no. Praying right now.

Father in Heaven, you alone know the inner workings of that new life. You are the author of life. You alone have the power and ability to turn this around. We pray that you would make yourself known by a miraculous healing that only you can do. Father you know your daughter Janice’s heart and you know that she loves this baby even before she has seen or held him/her. We ask Father that you mend the tear and that you would comfort and calm Janice’s heart right now. Please let carry to term that she may praise your mighty name. Let this life honor and glorify you alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Also, go to http://www.westonaprice.org and read the articles on the section on Women’s Health and Healthy Babies. There are some nutritional suggestions on there that might help. I had a good friend whose water broke at 18 weeks that was able to keep the baby in until about 26 weeks. He’s now 18 months old and doing well!
