Anna here with a great way you can help kids in their fight with cancer. We were compensated for our time in writing this post but all opinions are those of the writer.
Do you know of a friend or have a loved one with cancer? Chances are we all know someone who has fought or is fighting this horrible disease.
This fall, you can walk to the end of cancer. Join the Leukemia & Lumphoma Society’s Light The Night Walk, a fundraising campaign. This campaign brings together families and communities so that they can honor blood cancer survivors, and those that have lost the battle. We want to shine a light on finding cures and providing access to treatments for blood cancer patients.
Leukemia is the most common cancer in children and adolescent younger than 20 years of age. Even though amazing amounts of progress have been made in treating these cancers, getting these kids healthy again can be a long hard road.
Here’s how you can help: Sylvan Learning, is partnering with THe Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through Light The Night with a commitment to raise $250,000, and to donate MORE than 12,000 hours of free tutoring in nearly 200 communities all across the nation. This can help students who have fought cancer to transition back into school.
With almost 200 Light The Night walks nationwide this fall, there is sure to be one near you. It’s easy to register, join a team, and walk.
