A Look Back at #DisneySMMoms and the New Story App by Disney

by Janice

Janice here… Last month, I attended the #DisneySMMoms conference and for disclosure I’d like to let you know my conference fee was covered by Disney, but travel and associated costs are mine, as are all my opinions, always. I was not compensated nor required to write any posts related to the conference.

Only at Disney Social Media Moms Celebration do you have Storm Troopers storming the conference room, (who were then swarmed by iPhone snapping bloggers,) Crush swimming in to say hello, Gaston flexing his muscles and his vocal chords, and photo opps with R2D2.

And of course, only at #DisneySMMoms, do kids get to have as much fun as their blogging parents, Disney-style!

For most of us blogging, story-telling, social media obsessed attendees, one of the most exciting parts of the conference was hearing about the fabulous new app Story created by Disney.

Catherine Connors gave an emotional presentation about this innovative app featuring her own personal parenting story-telling.

Story allows you to use your photos and videos to create beautiful story books of memories. It is a FREE app and is super quick and easy to use.

I love this story that Christine Young of From Dates to Diapers created about our magical day together with her daughter, Julia. (I wasn’t able to bring my kids this year, so Christine and Julia were my family for the conference.)

You can download Story for iPhone free from the app store. It is magical!

Have you tried out Story for iPhone by Disney yet? What do you think of it? What are your favorite photo apps and video apps?
