I would sneak them in the basket under the grass. then place the basket in their room after they had went to bed. A basket that I treasured contained my favorite treats which were always a variety of chocolate delectable goodies. Bunnies, books, and a gorgeous pink handkerchief.
My aunt gave me a basket that was unique because she knew me and what I appreciated. I loved chocolate and writing paper so she created a special and beautiful basket filled with writing tablets, envelopes and chocolates of every variety.
My mom never gave me chocolate or candy (or anything now that I recall) for easter…so my best basket was one that my best friend’s mom gave me one year!

I have never received a gift basket but growing up, every Easter morning there would be a new outfit, shoes and a marzipan treat in my room.
We didn’t do Easter baskets as children, unless you count the ones filled with eggs, bread, salt and pepper and sausage we took to church to get blessed.

We didn’t get Easter Baskets at my Moms house growing up and only on days when Easter fell on my bio Dads schedule did we get them but in all honestly I don’t ever remember getting one. It’s why I always make sure to have something even if it’s little for my kids.

The best Easter basket, was the year I followed the Bunny Prints (white powder on the ground) from tree to tree finding notes that lead me on a treasure hunt – each note lead me to a diffeerent place and finally ended up in our small house(lived in Navy Housing) and found my basket in the oven of the kitchen.. full of all kinds of goodies to eat. THe fun was in the treasure hunt and I do that now from my granddaughters and they love it.. ANd frequently after they find their surprise they rehide the notes and play again and again

My favorite Easter basket, back in the day, contained a huge chocolate Easter bunny right in the middle of it! The bunny was surrounded by peeps, jelly beans, malted milk eggs and various types of candy. Back when I was little (in the 60′s and 70′s) we didn’t get additional presents or anything. But waking up to those baskets on Easter morning, having an Easter egg hunt and spending the day with family on a day that smelled of Spring was just the best!
The only Easter Basket I remember is when it was hanging from my brand new bike! I was so excited to get a bike that I didn’t even look at the candy in the basket lol

My best Easter basket was when I was in the 6th grade. We got rabbit food, and a new bunny. My mom was not an animal person, so this was the best gift. We had “Buns” the lop eared bunny for the next 8 years. She was litter box trained and loved to sit on your buns when we watched tv and layed on our tummies.
One year my mom put a 1 pound coconut cream egg in my basket. I was in heaven.

It sounds horrible now but it was wonderful in the 60′s to get the baby chicks that were dyed with Easter colors. It’s horrible because they died from the dye but people didn’t know it then and it was very wonderful – for a day or so.

My favorite baskets were the ones my grandmother made for me. They always had a tiny fuzzy yellow chick in them.
We never really celebrated many holidays growing up because money was tight. For Easter I would get an occasional chocolate bunny or go to a public hunt.
When I was 9 I was really into Barbies & a friend of mine in the neighborhood had a large suitcase with everything Barbie that you could imagine. I would spend every minute I could at her house, to the point where you would think I lived there!
My friends mother knew we weren’t well off & invited my sister & I to their house for Easter. When we got there we seen two huge baskets with our names on it. My sister was 13 at the time so she had dress up jewelry, make-up & the normal teenage stuff. But mine was full to the brim of everything Barbie! From dolls to doll clothes to a doll car & even clothes for myself. I was so excited & thankful that I cried. That was my first & last real easter basket. But it was so amazing that I am okay with that.
I hope to win this basket so my son can feel this same excitement that I did. He loves SkyLanders so much that he saves every penny he makes to buy new characters. This would make this Easter so amazing!

My best Easter basket was when I got starburst jelly beans. I love them. And when my mother stopped giving me chocolate bunnies. I know it sounds weird, but I have never been a big fan of chocolate. I’m very picky when it comes to chocolate.

When my son was 3 yrs old and became aware of Easter Baskets. He would look at all of them and tell me he wanted the Spiderman one. When he woke up Easter Sunday and found his basket he was so happy. He opened it up and came over and gave me a hug and a hershey’s kiss. I asked him that it was his and he said he wanted to share a kiss with me.

We didn’t get individual easter baskets growing up. mom took a basket or 2 we had around the house and filled it with candy (mostly handmade) and then we usually got a book or something small that would be sitting at our seat at the table when we woke up. It was a family of 8…individual basket would have been chaos and way too expensive!

I remember my grandmother used to make homemade chocolate and eggs and I remember getting one that she had made a special caramel filled chocolate frog just for me because they are my favorite animal, it had a stuffed animal frog and a magnifying glass and was in a green bucket to keep the frogs in that I would catch at her house. I remember that I cried when I received it and I never ate the chocolate frog, I saved him.

I enjoyed the baskets I received when I was a child. However, my favorites are the ones my kids get now. Each year the baskets have a book, a toy or two and favorite candies. My youngest, now 7, proclaims very sincerely that the Easter Bunny exists because he believes in him and always will. I love his delight at Easter and any holiday. The wonder and awe of a basket left just for you!
There was nine of us kid’s altogether, so we were happy with what little we got.

I have never received a basket. We just did egg hunts in my family, but we hunted hid and hunted the plastic eggs for days after Easter.
When I was little I lost a tooth on the night before Easter. I was worried that the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy would both get to my house at the same time and fight over who should be there. When I woke up and had both some money under my pillow AND an Easter Basket, I was the happiest kid on the block!

I think I still get them! My aunt still sends gifts for my sister and I (along with gifts for our kids now). Her gifts are always beautifully packaged. After unwrapping them, I find something lovely to display in my home for Easter. It may be handmade Easter soap or a ceramic bunny or a glass egg, but always something wonderful. When we were little, there was usually a bit of candy along with a unique toy.

I don’t remember a specific Easter basket. I remember the egg hunts. My mom always would put money in one GIANT egg. Whoever found the gian egg first got the money. My siblings and I would always rush to find it first. We never knew how much money would be in the egg. Sometimes it was five dollars and other times it was twenty. I enjoyed the candy wheter I got money or not.

The best easter basket was one that my daddy, which I met on easter day of year 2002 made for me. I was 12 years old and had come to the US a few months before this holiday. In it was a huge blue basket with a stuffed animal that had an “Im Sorry” sign. and the stuffed animal was wearing a pomise necklace. And my dad promised me that he would never leave me again. I got a daddy, a promise that has never been broken, and the ability to forgive. All in one basket.

One year our parents brought their 3 oldest children together and told us there wouldn’t be any Easter baskets because they couldn’t afford it, but our youngest sister still believed so she would be getting one. We tried to assure our mother that it would be okay. We could tell she wanted to cry. Easter morning, there were 4 baskets with a chocolate easter bunny, some colored boiled eggs and a few pieces of candy. When you aren’t expecting anything, then that has to be the best I remember.
The Best easter basket I got was when I was 5 and I remember it like it was yesterday. I stood up all night and didn’t hear anything downstairs so I thought I wasn’t getting anything so I came to my living room crying and all of a sudden I stood their in shock for 2 minuets when I saw a huuggee babrbie corvette stuffed in a really big basket that iv never seen before. I thought I was a regular car it was so big lol..I ripped it open and found a Barbie cup, Barbie sunglasses, and clothes and shoes. I put it all on and was driving for hours in my neighborhood, I felt like a celebrity
The best Easter basket I received was filled with spa things.
The best easter basket i ever got contained every egg i ever liked there was…. cream egg , flake , caramel , mars , smarties and a home made ginger bread house my gran made it me
One year my Easter Basket had three chocolate bunnies. Three! It was awesome.

well, it wasn’t a basket it was a huge/big blue egg with a Barbie in it…it was hidden under the dining room table at my grandfathers….I still have that egg.
