Last year for Christmas, my kids begged for Skylanders™ for the Wii. Santa came through, and throughout the year, every time we stepped foot in Target, Wal-mart or Toys R Us, they wanted to buy yet another character for the game. So of course when Skylanders Giants™ came out, Santa came through once again, and now we’re building up our characters for the second version of the game.
For those of you not familiar with the world of Skylanders™, Spyro the dragon and his friends are on a mission. There’s a portal that comes with the game, and each time a character is placed on the portal, that character is activated in the game. You switch characters to complete different parts of the game. My kids love to play this game with their dad, and Mom has been known to get in on the game once in a while too.
Now kids can continue the Skylanders™ experience after turning off the Wii with Mega Bloks® Skylanders Giants™! Sets like the Zeppelin Air Ship Assault let Skylanders™ fans use characters like Eye Brawl to attack those bad guys.
The Zeppelin Air Assault Ship is rated for ages 5+, but my 6 year old builder needed a little more assistance following the instructions than with other building sets, so this is great for some parent-child interaction. Once assembled the Drow Zeppelin is sturdy and fun to play with, both my builder and his 9 year old brother enjoyed playing with the the ship and the characters, including a cute little sheep that’s a nice bonus.

Grab the cannon and take aim – Eye Brawl needs to shoot down an attacking Drow Zeppelin with Zeppelin Air Ship Assault by Mega Bloks® Skylanders GiantsTM. Eye-Brawl’s got his eye on it and needs to use his cannon to shoot the Zeppelin down to deal with the collectible translucent Troll Greasemonkey pilot.
