Tackle it Tuesday — Guest Tackler, Michelle

by Guest Contributor

This week, we have Guest Tackler, Michelle, from Michelle’s Family Journal.

Mckenna and IMichelle is mum to a 4 year old girl McKenna and wife to Rob, a UPS driver. Michelle loves being a stay at home mum and enjoys baking, cooking, reading chick lit — and of course, twittering and blogging, as well as photography.

The Storage Closet

Our tackle this long weekend was the storage closet. We recently bought a deep freeze and wanted to move it into the closet out of the way. To do so it meant that we had to move two bookcases out into the dining room. One bookcase holds McKenna’s craft stuff as well as various games. While the other holds our enormous selection of cookbooks/ magazines. *ahem my magazines*

There is still one other bookcase in there that holds our books and cds. :) We’re going to get some more shelving for various items that don’t currently have a home.

As well, and it’s not pictured, I bought grout cleaner my tiles are so clean now… I’m doing the happy sigh.

I know the bookcase is old and soon to be replaced, so it matches the Baker’s Rack.

Like the end result??

Not shown is McKenna’s Dora Table which has a few things on it. But after having tackled all of it, I have a sore back…

What are you tackling?

Tell us what you’re up to… add your link to the tackle in the Mr. Linky below!

Each week on Tuesday, we are posting before and after pictures of a project or trouble area that we tackled this week.

Find out more about Tackle It Tuesday here.
The project can be little or big – whatever you want.

Basically, Tackle It Tuesday is about giving ourselves incentive, deadlines and satisfaction in getting our household tasks done.

(It doesn’t even have to be housework… just whatever is on your To Do list.)

If you tackled a project this week, just add a comment and add your link below.

Happy tackling ladies…

Wow, great job – I love your baker’s rack! :)

My tackle this week is all about back-to-school, since the today is our first day back. Speaking of which, I’m off to tackle my pillow for some much needed sleep before I have to get up MUCH earlier than I’ve gotten used to this summer!

Janice Thank you for letting me guest host :)
Deb You know what I got the Baker’s Rack a few years ago for about $40 when a store was closing.

Tremendous tackle, Michelle! I tackled my supply drawer this past week while our boys tackled their closet, but only because the pole was falling down!

That really is an amazing transformation you have there, more of a makeover than a tackle, as well as a lot of hard work. Well done you. I suppose that’s why they call it Labour day.
Best wishes

Now that is a huge tackle!! What a terrific job you did! I am not surprised your back hurt after tackling that!! Doesn’t it feel good when you accomplish something like that!
