Refresh Your Look and Clean Out Your Makeup Bag with Eco Tools (Giveaway)

A couple of weeks ago, I was going through my makeup bag and realized that I had mascara in there that was over 3 years old. YIKES! I am really bad at keeping my makeup bag cleaned out. When I get new makeup, I just throw it in with the rest and it just kind of all gets mixed in together. Thankfully EcoTools and their new Alicia Silverstone Train Case will help me stay more functional and remind me to throw away my older makeup.

They’ve taken Alicia’s favorite flowers and created a clean, sophisticated design for the new Train Case! Fit everything in this deep cosmetic bag, from your makeup and favorite EcoTools brushes to your must-have natural bath and body care products! This train case is made with natural hemp and cotton, has a recycled PET lining, and the hangtag is printed on tree-free stone paper.

This train case is SO gorgeous! I love it and it is very roomy. I have a lot of makeup and it all fits nicely and still closes easily.

I was also sent a pack of brushes to try out:

In this pack, I was able to try out each of the following brushes (all of which I loved!):

  • Bamboo Powder Brush: This must-have is ideal for applying and setting your face makeup.  Our ultra-soft, cruelty-free brush delivers an even, all-over dusting of powder.  This brush features a recycled aluminum ferrule, a sleek bamboo handle and our zip-top reusable pouch.
  • Bamboo Angled Eyeliner Brush: Create a perfect cat eye or use everyday with our ultra-flat angled eyeliner brush. Its angled, cruelty-free taklon brush head creates an effortless, clean line along your lashes.
  • Bamboo Eye Shading Brush: Whether you’re creating a look for day or night, this is a versatile, must-have eye brush. Essential for applying shadow base, it can be used for shading, highlighting, and blending.
  • Bamboo Foundation Brush: Use the foundation brush to apply your favorite cream or liquid foundation for an even and flawless finish. Smoothly cover under-eye circles and imperfections with our soft, cruelty-free taklon bristles.
  • Bamboo Concealer Brush: Conceal dark under-eye circles and hide minor imperfections with our deluxe concealer brush. The cruelty-free taklon bristles also work great with cream eye shadow!

Now that I am going through menopause and have heat flashes I really love wearing blush. I also like to wear eye make-up…

  2. Donna says

Being menopausal, finding the right foundation coverage has been a challenge, so I find that fun to look for the right coverage for those wrinkles that hadn’t been a problem before. I was told at a very young age by a makeup professional, if you leave your home and aren’t going to wear much makeup, the one must have is lipstick. So, I have always heeded that advice and made sure I have at least one lipstick with me at all times. It definitely adds color to a very light skinned individual.

I have 4 kids and a very hectic schedule. I run out of time very quickly for myself so I just love when I get a chance to put on ANY type of makeup.

I don’t wear foundation very often because I hate how the liquid stuff feels like mud on my face. However, when I tried the mineral powder stuff a year or so ago, I LOVED how my face had even tones and color. It’s amazing how a little bit of foundation really livens up your whole countenance!

I like putting on blush. It’s the last step, usually, and adds that pinch of color I so badly need. Especially in the winter – so pale!

  7. Liz says

At the moment, I am not wearing makeup, but really want to start again. I would love some new brushes to help with this fresh start!

My favorite part of my makeup is getting the eye liner just right – not too much and not too little and especially getting the lines straight!

  11. Blessie Nelson says

My favorite part of makeup is applying the lipstick…somehow that REALLY makes all the difference in the world!!

  12. Lauren O. says

  13. Leslie S. says

I love when I can accentuate my positive aspects and allow my true self emerge. I look happy and full of life when my makeup is subtle and ” me”.

  15. Mari M. says

My favorite makeup product is BB cream and mascara. BB cream cover up little flaws and mascara opens up my eyes! I absolutely love them!

  16. Sarah Madrigal says

I loved reading this posting because I also buy new makeup and throw the new in with the old. Then I watched Oprah and found out that bacteria lives on my makeup. I never knew!!
So now, I try to be more careful. I wear makeup when I go out somewhere formally because I have not found makeup that I can wear daily just yet.
I love putting on my foundation and then starting with eyeshadow colors..Almost like starting a painting..HAHAHA!! If I could paint…By the end I feel pretty.

  17. says

Iove the feeling of light make up.I wear make up everyday and often feel as if my face is heavy. I love be a girly girl and trying new eye shadows, lip gloss, and eye liners. This would be a perfect set for me to try and actually feel like I am wearing nothing on my face!

  18. Denise says

I think putting on eyeshadow and eyeliner, becuase I can change it every day. each day I can choose a new color or a new way of putting my eyeshadow on.
