Relish in the Ease of Making Dinner (Giveaway)

It’s a question that every woman dreads. What is this dreaded, awful question?

“Hey Mom,What’s for dinner?”

Nothing exhausts me more than having to think about whats for dinner!  Pinterest gives us endless amounts of inspiration on how to make gourmet everything in just 3 short hours-not including time at the grocery stores to find all the random spices and “accessories” for these fancy recipes.

I may not work outside the home, but it’s not like I sit around all day just pondering what beautiful meal I’m going to make that night. I have a 14 month old that may very well be part Tasmanian Devil and keeping him entertained is enough to worry about! So, what to do when it comes to dinner decisions? I can’t neglect my child, yet everyone has to eat.

Time for a new plan and that new plan is Relish. I’m not talking about that tasty green stuff on top of your hot dog, I’m talking about the amazing online meal planning website that not only gives you awesome meal suggestions, but also provides a detailed grocery list broken down by what section of the store that item is in!

I don’t mind grocery shopping. The problem is that no matter how organized I think I am, I still end up wandering the aisles and usually end up forgetting at least one item. Relish solves that problem. Each week you’re provided with a menu of tasty meals complete with side dishes and nutrition facts. Don’t want something on the menu? No big deal, swap it out for something else and your grocery list automatically updates!

Additionally, you can search their recipe database if you’re in the mood for something in particular or you just want to use something up before it goes bad. You can search specifically for kid-friendly, low cal, quick, vegetarian, morning prep, simple gourmet, $12 dinners (yes, just $12 for 4 servings!), and my personal favorites: Desserts and slow cookers. Do you have a smaller family? No problem, you can adjust the serving size to 2, 4, 6, or 8 servings and the recipes and grocery list adjust accordingly!

It’s fall, it’s getting cooler outside and if you’re like me you LOVE how dinner cooking in the slow cooker all day can make your house smell fantastic! A quick prep in the morning and you’re done. No dinner rush, no last minute trip through the drive thru. Want to see a meal I threw together using the Relish website? I made a delicious meal of Chicken and Snow Pea Stir Fry The baby gobbled it right up, definitely making it a kid friendly meal!

The best part about the timing of this review is that it’s the holiday season. Not only are there recipes for side dishes for holiday meals, there are also desserts and all kinds of holiday meal plans!  Need quick easy meals for when family is in town? There are pages of recipes for freezer meals. You can make them ahead of time, attach the label with cooking instructions provided by Relish and stick them in the freezer. This is also a great option for leftovers. Simply type in the ingredient you have excess of and find an appropriate freezer recipe and viola! Done. It really doesn’t get any easier than that.

  13. Linda Stewart says

I love slow cooker cooking. The main problem I run into is timing. I rarely have time to put something together in a cooker in the mornings and doing it at night defeats the purpose of it being ready to eat when we get home the next evening. If I cook it at night then it needs to go in the fridge the next morning which means it’s cold when we get home thus having to warm it up. This cooker would make it possible for me to set it and leave it!

  14. Charese Williamson says

There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.

She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had
    to tell someone!
