World Kindness Day: Be Kind Every Day

by Maria Lianos-Carbone

It’s World Kindness Day today, a day that encourages individuals to overlook boundaries, race and religion.

The World Kindness Day was introduced in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement and is observed in many countries, including Canada, Japan, and Australia.

What is kindness?

Kindness is the act or the state of being kind, being marked by good and charitable behavior, pleasant disposition, and concern for others. It is known as a virtue, and recognized as a value in many cultures and religions.

Kindness should be celebrated every day!

Here at 5 Minutes for Mom, we are trying to spread kindness by helping to erase bullying, helping children in need and sharing stories of hope.

What acts of kindness have you done lately?
