Pretty Mommies Maternity Skin Care Kit for all of Us Beautiful Moms (Giveaway)

When you’re pregnant, it seems like more than your belly changes – the clothes you wear, the foods you eat, and even the products you use on your skin can change, as well. And, if you’re a new mommy, you may not realize that some of the everyday products you use on your skin could actually be unhealthy for your little pea in the pod (products made with isotretinoin and other retinoids, as well as minocycline, doxycycline and tetracyclines, for example). First, I must say I love the Let’s Be Clear Facial Cleanser. It smells citrusy and fresh, and actually feels like it’s working. Whenever I can “feel” a product working, I’m sold. Plus, it helps clear blemishes and keep them at bay, not only during your pregnancy, but even while you’re breastfeeding, too (if you choose that route).

If you don’t have that pregnancy “glow,” you can always fake it with the Truth Be Told Skin Brightener. It safely lightens hyper pigmentation and even out your skin tone. This is especially helpful if you have the dreaded “pregnancy mask!” Plus, you don’t have to worry about breaking out with this one, either! This one, to me, felt like I was applying a DIY chemical peel, but in a good way. I loved how it felt like I was getting a luxurious facial but without all the harmful chemicals!

And of course, and most important, is the Protect & Reflect SPF 30 Sunscreen! Even if you’ve stopped sunbathing or using tanning beds during pregnancy, it’s still important to use sunscreen. There are just too many cases of skin cancer and melanoma out there from patients who hardly ever, if at all, used some sort of skin protectant. Don’t risk it during your pregnancy! The Protect & Reflect actually contains pure, non-nano zinc oxide, which happens to be the safest sun protection available. What’s even better is that the zinc oxide is also extremely effective in preventing hyper pigmentation, including melasma, from becoming worse! When I applied this for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised at how light it was, and blended in perfectly (no ugly, visible “white” sunscreen marks).
