What Kind of Dessert Can You Create in Under an Hour?

by Jennifer Sikora

Let’s face it, dinnertime is never complete for me without some type of dessert. My family loves my sweet treats, but a lot of time, I don’t have time to make one, or spend the time looking up something new that is quick and easy to make.

I like to do things homemade most of the time, and when I can’t,  I kind of just say, “forget it.” My daughter doesn’t like that very much because she is the major sweet tooth in the house.

What kind of ideas do you have for me?

I recently watched a video series from Philly with the Real Women of Philadelphia and they gave me 4 new ideas for desserts that can be created in under an hour just using simple pantry ingredients and blocks of delicious Philadelphia cream cheese.

Dessert ideas shown in this video include:

  • New York Cheesecake
  • Dark Chocolate Hazlenut Souffle
  • Caramel Pecan Cheesecake Bars
  • Marble Brownies

All of these are made with yummy Philadelphia cream cheese and can be made in less than an hour with little prep! To see all the videos in this series, just hit refresh after watching the first video.

What dessert can you create in under an hour?

We are working with Kraft to share about Philadelphia Cream Cheese and how easy it is to make dessert in under an hour. All opinions listed are our own.

Put frozen banana chunks in the food processor and blend until they are just like banana ice cream. We sometimes add cocoa and peanut butter.

How about apple crisp. I don’t even peel the apples.
There is something my mother-in-law makes called Dump Cake.
You need a yellow cake mix, can crushed pineapple, can blueberry pie, 1 cup of butter and coconut.
Pour the pineapple and blueberry pie in cake pan, sprinkle cake mix on top and pour melted butter over mix. Sprinkle coconut on top. Bake at 350. j

The cheese cake look so decadent. It was hard to believe that it was that easy to make. Do you also have dessert recipes for citrus fruits?
