Afternoon tea. Double decker buses. Fish and chips. These are things I miss about England.
Cold feet isn’t one of them. As a child in England, I craved warmth in our allegedly centrally heated home. I say allegedly because no part of the house was warm and snug. I layered on the sweaters, but my feet were left in the cold.
Fast forward to today and I still have cold feet. Part of it is genetic, part not wearing shoes in the house. Whatever the reason my feet are cold most of the time…and my home is, in fact, centrally heated.
During family movie nights, everyone fussed so much about needing a blanket that I finally bought a blanket rack to hold a blanket for each of us. But our tootsies are still cold. I have given birth to children with cold feet, too. I’m always on the lookout for a cold feet cure.

I was asked to review a product that I was sure would be a hit with my husband and I, except that my girls nabbed the the tabletop pillows first. Clever kids! I was sent a His and Her set of Kickrests. Kickrest is a combination pillow and foot rest. The Kickrest base is firm enough that you can rest your feet on a coffee table and not get “numb foot” syndrome. Or you can place the Kickrest on the floor in front of your office chair to keep your toesies warm and snug. The memory foam pillow acts as a cradle for your feet and legs.
The kind folks at Kickrest sent me a pair of Kickrests - Think Pink for me and Tan Line for my husband. My older teen laid claim to the Tan Line while my younger teen took the Think Pink. I was pleased to see that both used the Kickrests many times over the weekend. The older teen used the Kickrest to cover her feet as she lay on the couch. The younger teen sprawled full length on the recliner with her feet tucked in the Kickrest. One used the Kickrest while snoozing in bed.
Kickrests are usually $29.95, but there is a Back-to-School Sale where you can buy one for $19.95 to keep warm this winter. According to Kickrest, no other product out there offers the parent-pending features of the Kickrest. For instance, the foot pillow has a detachable fleece hood. The base of the foot pillow not only grips the tabletop, but protects surfaces from wear and tear. Great for relieving pregnancy foot pain and swelling of ankles and feet, too.
Kickrests come in a variety of vibrant colors with ever-so-cute names:
- Tan Line
- Maroon Six
- True Blue
- Think Pink
- Putting Green
- Olive Me

I need this like you wouldn’t believe! My feet are cold year round and I have a really hard time warming them up. In the winter, I’ll wear house shoes around until bed time, but I can’t keep them on if we’re sitting down to watch a movie together or something similar. This is the perfect solution!

We don’t really turn the heater up, so our place gets a little cold during the winter. So we usually wear more clothes and blankets. This kickrest would be another great way to keep warm.

Like you, my feet are always cold. I think that I would really benefit from the Kickrest Table Top Pillow as I can not stand to put my feet on a hard surface, such as my ottoman, because of the pain. I would love the memory foam pillow to cushion my feet and keep them warm also. I think this product is a terrific idea.
