Chasing Mavericks {Movie Gift Card, Book, and Soundtrack prize pack}

CHASING MAVERICKS is the inspirational true story of surfing phenom Jay Moriarity (newcomer Jonny Weston). This PG rated flick from 20th Century Fox will be arriving in theaters on October 26, and we are celebrating its release with a movie-themed giveaway!

When 15 year old Jay discovers that the mythic Mavericks surf break, one of the biggest waves on Earth, is near his Santa Cruz home, he enlists the help of local legend Frosty Hesson (Gerard Butler) to train him to survive it.

As Jay and Frosty embark on their quest to do the impossible, they form a unique friendship that transforms their lives, and their quest to tame Mavericks becomes about more than surfing. Chasing Mavericks was made with the help of some of the biggest names in the surfing world, and features some of the most mind-blowing wave footage ever captured on film.

The music of the film is derived from the soundtrack-taking place in a time of rock n’ roll (the 90s) in which some of the best Alternative Rock was recorded and released. Featured artists include Mazzy Star, The Sponge, The Lemonheads, Matthew Sweet and more. The songs will be available digitally starting on October 23rd and on CD on November 19th.

We are giving away a movie-themed prize package!

    My 5 year old son would probably like it the best, but seeing that Matthew Sweet is on the soundtrack tells me that I’d like it, too!

    I think I’d like it best. I’m the only one in my family who gravitates toward “based on a true story” movies. If it’s based on a true story and it looks inspiring, I’m all over it. :) :)
