Vancouver Moms — Don’t Miss Leading Moms on October 3rd

by Janice

Need some inspiration? Want to kick off your fall with some renewed passion?

leading-momsIf you live in the Greater Vancouver Area, come join the women at Leading Moms — an annual event featuring inspiring talks from extraordinary moms, on October 3, 2012, at the HR MacMillan Space Centre in Vancouver, BC.

The day will feature moms making a difference in the arts, fashion, culture, business, science, media, politics and more.

It all starts with a Leadership Breakfast brought to you by Nature’s Path, where attendees can meet BC Premier Christy Clark and other speakers. All are welcome to the FREE Leadership Breakfast provided by Nature’s Path. This also includes non-paying guests who just want to pop in before work or the start of their day. Pre-registration required.

Presentations begin with an opening keynote from Premier Christy Clark and a morning of brief talks – and in some cases performances – 5 to 18 minutes long.

After a catered lunch, the afternoon features a fashion show from local designer Nicole Bridger, followed by more talks and a closing keynote from Fiona Douglas-Crampton, CEO of the Minerva Foundation, who’ll talk about the importance of Being Brave.

Now, as moms with young children, one of the biggest barriers to attending an event during the week is childcare. BUT guess what — childcare is included, courtesy of Nannies on Call!

And if you would like to save on gas and parking, Chevrolet Canada will be supplying a shuttles from the Tricities and Langley to the venue.

Leading Moms is hosted by Entrepreneur Mom Now Vancouver, Vancouver Mom, and Modern Mama.

I am really looking forward to the day — and participating in the fashion show with “real mom” models!

If you can make it, visit Leading Moms to register.
