When You Feel Like You Have Swallowed Hot Lava

by Jennifer Sikora

That was my daughter’s words to me a few months back. I kept telling her to STOP eating so much salsa and chips, and she in turn told me that she was not eating anything, she just always felt like the top of her stomach was on fire. She wouldn’t let anyone touch it and she had a few days when she was crying uncontrollably from the pain.

It was then I knew the doctor was going to be seeing us on a regular basis.

Turns out, my daughter has this weird stomach condition where she produces way too much acid. The only product on the market that can get that to go away so she can eat normally is Prilosec OTC.

Speaking of Prilosec OTC, I love Larry the Cable Guy and his crazy personality. He is definitely the right one to help promote the Prilosec OTC Brand.

In this 30 second Prilosec OTC commercial, spokes-comedian Larry the Cable Guy explains how people can treat frequent heartburn with Prilosec OTC to block the acid that causes it – so they don’t get heartburn in the first place.

Use as directed for 14 days or more often than every 4 months unless directed by a doctor. May take 1 to 4 days for full effect. Not for immediate relief.

This post is part of a promotional campaign for Prilosec OTC. All opinions listed are our own.

I feel that kind of burn immediately after eat something very spicy. Which is very often indeedy! :-) Think stomach acid might not be the only cause for it?
