Have you ever seen that movie with Steve Carrell and Tina Fey — Date Night? Every time I watch that movie, I think of me and my husband. Our lives are just SO routine that we hardly ever go anywhere and when we do it’s always the same place and we usually eat the SAME thing. It makes me want to scream sometimes. This week however is gonna be just a bit different, because I am going to surprise him with something completely and totally different from what we normally do. We are going to go to the movies and out to dinner — all in the same night! We are hitting up the Carmike Cinemas and I am going to take him to see a manly movie after we have dinner at a restaurant that neither of us have eaten at.

    Oh it’s been a while but Hubs took me to see Mirror,Mirror YES I did want to see that movie ha… then 2 weeks later I took my kids to see it. I loved it :) Thanks for the chance.

    It’s been years. I think we went last year WITH the kids. We did get to go out of town for Valentine’s without them. But to the movies for a date night? Not in a long while :-(

    My husband and I were excited that a movie we wanted to see was out at the same time as our anniversary in April. Otherwise we dont get to movies much either! Three small kids keep our lives pretty routine and busy too!

    The last time I went to the movies was with my daughter but my sister and I have a trip planned with movie outings planned to use our movie passes we’ve won.

    I really don’t recall the last time we went to the movies- maybe 15 years ago? My husband is cheap- we wait for DVD! It used to be we would wait for VHS if that gives you a clue.

    A date with just the hubby and I?? Geez..I think it’s been at least 3 or 4 years…thankfully our teen loves older movies so we are able to have a semi date whenever the 3 of us go out.

    I guess you could consider it a date, but the last time I went to the movies was with my friend who was in the Marines (GOD BLESS THE MILITARY) in July! We went and watched the new Batman Movie and Ted! It was so fun!

    I went on a date with my girlfriend to dinner and the movies last Tuesday, lol. Does that count? My husband falls asleep in the movies so we have not gone on a movie date in 20 years. He even falls asleep when having a movie date at home. LOL.

    With a 17 year old, 9 year old and 1 year old, all girls! I have NO CLUE! UNLESS it was to take my 9 year old to a kiddie movie or does it count if I pay for the 17 year olds movie even if I don’t go? lol

    I’ve been with my girlfriend for 7+ yrs, after 2 kids and a 3rd on the way, I don’t remember ever going to the theater with her. Lol. We watch a lot of movies at home. It seems more practical with the kids and the cost of what it is now to go to the movies :/

    We went to see Courageous ….but we weren’t alone. The kids were being watched by grandpa so , we were “kidless” so it was sorta like a date :) it’s been quite sometime since we went to the movies by ourselves :( that’s what happens when you have 3 kids!
