Week 18 – Featured Commentor:

This week’s loyal commentor is Nicole from Here’s the Diehl.

There are some bloggers who have a unique ability to find the humor in just about any situation. Nicole is just such a blogger. The mother of three cherubic little boys, Nicole’s daily posts are peppered with wit, and it’s no wonder – her children provide her with endless material.

Whether she’s writing an open letter to her children regarding her “effective parenting hours”, documenting her foray into the world of running, or chronicling the, ahem, interesting things little boys do, Nicole will keep you laughing.

In addition to her sharp wit, Nicole also possesses a depth and sweetness that speaks volumes. When blogging about the death of her mother last year, Nicole processed her grief in poignant and touching posts that were layered with grace and wisdom.

Nicole describes herself this way: I’m Nicole. 30-something Wife of 30-something Matt (a banker), stay at home mom to Luke (6), Bennett (3 1/2) and Jack Henry (1). We are Christians, striving to teach our boys about Jesus and knowing him personally.

And no, we aren’t going to have another to “try for a girl.” You’ve no idea how many times people have asked that. I feel so blessed to be the mom of all boys, as God obviously knows what he’s doing since I don’t cope well with drama. My dream is to someday own a home with a bathroom large enough to turn into a locker room, complete with a urinal.

…Our life and parenting is definitely imperfect, and in the spirit of full disclosure, I write about all of it: the good, the bad, the embarrassing, the funny. Since I am not good at keeping up the baby books, and I don’t scrapbook, this has become a journal of sorts about my boys’ childhood.

Thank you, Nicole, for sharing your life, your wit and your wisdom with us, you readers. You are an inspiration.

And, of course, thank you for being such a loyal commenter here at 5 Minutes for Mom! Please display this Loyal Commenter badge with pride.

I'm a mom to three beautiful, hilarious, rambunctious little children. I am privileged to stay at home, though if I'm honest I'll say there are days when I crave the escape of an office. I'm a freelance writer and enjoy the creative outlet that writing provides. I lead a full, busy and blessed life. There is never a dull moment in the Stuart home.
