I am not one for going out to eat all the time, especially at lunch. I don’t like taking the chance that I’ll end up eating a lot of food I don’t really need (every once in a while is ok, but not all the time.) When I pack a lunch for myself, I always include a good source of protein along with a few carbs and some healthy fats. Greek yogurt is one of my favorites — I top it with some walnuts or almonds and a few chocolate chips. Yum!

When I pack a lunch for myself, I also make sure to include a little healthy snack for after lunch! 100 Calorie snacks, sugar-free pudding or homemade energy balls are things I look forward too!

Protein … I’m on a high protein diet since having gastric bypass surgery last October so my diet requires, at the very least 64 grams of protein every day. I try to make sure the majority of my protein is eaten during my work day.

I always make sure to take some sort of snack…could be crackers, chips, cookies, a mini candybar, etc

I only have to make lunch for my husband. I include fork, spoon, knife, handwipe, dinner from lunch the day before, and few side items.
