Tackle it Tuesday-Tackling a Rest from Your Vacation

by Jennifer Sikora

Tackle It Tuesday

It’s been exactly three weeks since we got back from our trip to Florida, and to be honest, it has taken ALL of that three weeks to get my mojo back. I have had to nap every single day, I have had to sleep in instead of getting up at my normal time. My body is still on vacation while the rest of me is ready to get back into a routine.

Here is a very important tip that you can tackle once you get home from a vacation. Really — we all need to take this bit of advice. The old saying goes — I need a vacation from my vacation.

Don’t try to jump back into your normal every day life once you return home.

Every time I have ever come home from vacation, I have had to take a break from my normal routine and ease back into everything. That means that the laundry might get piled up, the furniture might get dusty, but little by little I will get back into it.

Don’t try to rush. let your body adjust on its own. Do a little bit each day and before you know it, you will be back into your normal every day routine!

Hi Jennifer
I have tackled a few projects already this week. 1st I sorted the pile of magazines I have as interest reading on my coffee table. Sorted, kept, filed or recycled most of the magazines, and now it looks great.
Next were my sons pants, before we know it the weather will turn cool and I always make sure he has a least one pair of pants before school starts, then I have an idea of what clothes he has in place for the first few weeks of school.
Together we also prepared his basket that he uses for library books, forms etc that come home from school.
Next week will be checking school supplies and starting the back to school routine.

I always need a vacation from vacation, too! So often I have gone straight back to work after a vacation, and it’s always been really hard to jump right back into it. I usually don’t get much accomplished for my first few days back.
