LifeProof– Proof That Your Electronics Can Be Protected (Giveaway)

When you are a work at home mom and a blogger, your electronics pretty much become a major part of your life. For Janice and I, we travel a lot, so we really need to keep our smartphones safe. We check our travel plans, chat with our children’s teachers, check in with our clients, and always want to see what you — our readers are up to.

If our phones are not protected and something horrible happens — like the possibility of little fingers accidentally spilling something on it, or me being clumsy and dropping it in a sink full of water — what would I do then? Thankfully there are products like LifeProof waterproof Iphone cases to help keep my phone secure.

I recently had the chance to try out the LifeProof case for my iphone and I love it. I have tested it out by dropping it in a sink full of water and it definitely does what it says it does. I also took it outside and had the girls throw dirt on it to see if it would get inside on the phone. There was not one bit of dirt on it. LifeProof will definitely be my iphone’s new best friend!

My kids were so abusive with my last smart phone. Within a few weeks of getting it they had dunked it in the toilet twice. Amazingly it kept working (after days drying in a bag of rice), but it was never quite the same. After two years of sticky fingers, babies sucking on it, getting dropped by me and children, and finally another trip into the water it was just not working well at all. Was so glad when it was time to upgrade and I got my iPhone, though I’m constantly worried about something happening to it.

Let my at the time 3 year old pick it up literally 2 days after i got my iphone 4 upgrade and she shattered the back of it. still works just is unsightly lol

  3. Jamie Brigham says

I drop mine constantly. 4 cases have already been replaced because they break when I drop them. My 5th one is all torn up but the cases are so expensive.

  4. Killian says

I have heard the most amazing things about these phone cases. Unfortunately a college student has a tight budget. However this case would be so awesome since I live at the beach and kayak all the time!!!

  5. Ivy T says

Let my daughter use it, though usually without the sticky fingers. Grossest moment was when she left it on the couch and it made its way into that back pocket behind the cushions. I realized that day, that the kids were eating on the couch without me knowing… ew.

  6. Erin Sumpter says

The worst thing I have done to my phone is let my kids play with it while they had sticky fingers from eating. Doesnt sound bad but the cleanup was horrible.

  7. Anne Lehnick says

I’ve managed to keep my Blackberry in good repair… getting an iPhone 5 TOMORROW though!!!! But our iPad screen was broken by a couple of marauding kids.

I’ve been very lucky; I’ve dropped my phone but never destroyed one. My daughter, however, has loose parts that rattle inside her iPhone if you shake it. She’s getting a new one in a few weeks on her birthday and you better believe it will go in a nice case.

  9. John Stetson says

I haven’t yet had a crisis, but my grandson has dropped his in the toilet. A case like this would have saved the day.

  10. Ashley C says

I haven’t done too much with it, I’ve dropped old phones in the toilet but it hasn’t happened with my smartphone yet!

I’m pretty careful and haven’t dropped it anywhere…yet! But I did forget it at a friend’s house once and I felt like a part of me was missing, lol!

  12. Lacey Junell says

Kicked it off the bed when I was in labor, poor things cracked on the back. Two days later dropped it in the toilet and now the flash light is forever on. Durable phones though, I’m pleased with it

  13. Madelyn says

Mine is two-fold. One night, it slid out of my pocket while I was playing with my son outside. I didn’t notice until the morning, and of course it rained cats and dogs all night. So I put it in a bag of rice and 3 days later it was as good as new. Until THAT SAME WEEK it slid out of my hands and hit the concrete floor. The screen shattered.

On more than one occasion I have just left my cell phone somewhere, out in the open, for anyone to take. Once in a bar while I went to the back to go play pool and another time next to me on the bench at the fair.

  15. Jennifer says

My toddler is rough with my phone… but my husband, who works in the oilfield has dropped his phone in chemicals before and his phone melted! This would be fantastic for him!

  16. Desiree Dunbar says

The worst thing I have done is drop my phone twice in four months and crack the screen again after sending it away to be fixed….yes I have a crack screen again even with a case so I would love to win this to protect it.!

  17. Kim Nascimento says

I’d love to win one. My 2.5 year old son loves to play the educational apps I have loaded for him and I’m nervous that he’s going to break my phone one day!

    • Kim Nascimento says

Whoops, didn’t see what the instructions were. The worst thing so far was dropped it on the garage floor! My son threw my sister’s iphone in the bathtub, too :(

  18. PinkyPlatz says

I don’t have a smart phone, but I suppose the worst that can happen is that you can drop it in the toilet. Thanks for the giveaway!

  19. Kellie Conklin says

I’m pretty careful with my phone but I did let the kids I watch play a game with it and it “accidentally” went flying out of her hand onto the floor. Fortunately nothing was cracked or broken! This looks awesome though, thanks for the giveaway!

  20. Melissa JN says

I was climbing out of a canoe and it fell out of my pocket, into the shallow water, and hit a rock underwater! Fortunately I dried it out quick and everything worked except for the camera.

  21. Chris says

Left it unattended on the table, cat knocked it off onto floor, then the dog decided to get “sick” at the very spot where it lay.

  22. Abby Kraynick says

Left it on the roof of my car & drove away… It fell off & the person behind me ran it over. That was a SAD day :o(

  23. Jen Felong says

Dropped it in a parking lot and it slid under a moving car. Thankfully, it didn’t get run over by the tires!

  24. Sandy says

So far the worst I have done is drop itwhen it has been in my lap and I’ve stood up. Luckily no damage yet but a lifeproof case would be awesome! My husband has one for his phone as he is a landscape contractor and it has saved his phone many times over!

  25. Laurie Emerson says

It accidentally fell out of my hands and into my bubble bath. It smelled great but that was about the best thing I can say about the experience!

  26. Lori L. says

I’m pretty careful with my phone but I’ve had a couple of drops in parking lots as I’m getting out of my car. Every time, I panic.
