$250 Sears Optical Gift Card Giveaway

My daughter Gracie goes back to school in two weeks. Summer has flown by! It feels like we haven’t really had time to enjoy each other.

There are a few things that we always do to get ready for going back to school – we focus on making sure she has her yearly checkup and an eye exam. Vision care is so important to me. My Granny had cancer in her eye and had to have it removed. So I have always felt that you needed to be proactive and on top of things. I can’t imagine how it would be to not be able to see. My vision is very important to me.

Sears Optical is a great place to go for not only purchasing your eye glasses and contacts but to also receive an eye exam. Many Sears Optical have opthamologists on site so you can make one trip and have your eye appointment and order your glasses at one time. It usually takes 10-14 days before they arrive and then you can pick them up.

I’ve used Sears Optical before and they were very kind and helpful. They helped me to pick a frame that suited my face – out of the wide assortment of hundreds of frames they had. You can find frames from collections such as Apostophe, Sophia Loren and one of the exclusive collections, Kardashian. So many stylish looks to choose from! Also, every purchase comes with the Sears promise of satisfaction guaranteed or your money back within 90 days.

I do not wear glasses, yet. I haven’t had my eyes checked since I was 17. And 20 years later, let’s just say I’ve noticed some changes with my vision. I have a feeling if I had them checked now, the doctor would say I need glasses.

  2. Meaghan F. says

We all wear glasses! I need new ones and a trip to the eye doctor, but I have no insurance and all my money is going to pay for college debt repayment, so this would be just amazing.

  3. LOIS PAYTON says

I stepped and broke my glasses the other day, boy I sure could use this, GOD BLESS AND KEEP YA’LL SAFE IN HIS LOVING ARMS.

  4. tamatha hunter says

I have since I was a kid & the hubby had to break down a couple of years ago & get some too for the first time.

  5. Laura Jacobson says

I do, but mine are so old and scratched, I do not wear them. :( Would love to be able to get a new pair and see the leaves on the trees again instead of a green blob!!! LOL

  6. Anastasia says

Both my sister and I are partially blind. I wear glasses and she wants to, but hasn’t been able to afford to get any! Her husband also wears glasses :)

  7. Shari says

My entire immediate family wears glasses! We’re all allergic to sticking our fingers in our eyes for contacts. 😉

  8. Tamra H says

No one in my family wears glasses – yet. I know I need them, this would help motivate me to make that eye doctor appointment! :)

  9. says

I wear glasses, three of my kids wear glasses/contacts (ages 19, 16, 14). All of us wear glasses because we are nearsighted except for my oldest. He had a severe eye injury from paintball a few years ago (detached retina) so he has to wear a contact in one eye now to improve his vision.

  10. says

Yes, I wear glasses and so does my husband. Our daughter says she is having trouble seeing small text, so she may need them, too. We’ll find out when she gets her eye exam.

And even with vision insurance, glasses for my husband and I are over $200 each. Our glasses are 14 years old now. This gift card would come in VERY handy.

  11. says

We all wear glasses! I started wearing glasses in the 3rd grade and my daughter started in Kindergarten. Lots of near-sightedness passed down from my dad’s side of the family.

  12. Eileen says

My husband used to wear glasses but did not need for driving. Now his eyes have gotten worse, plus he is majorly trying to avoid the need for readers. He is always squinting and he’s just WAY too cute to get those nasty wrinkles. LOL> He won’t go in for an appt. cuz of the money. sad.

  13. says

Both my husband and I wear glasses. I’ve been wearing glasses since I was in second grade, and now my daughter will be in second grade. I’m wondering if her eyes will be like mine.

  14. says

My 8 year old daughter and my husband do. I also think I need another exam as I am struggling to see when reading things far away. If I didn’t have so many kids to take care of I might have been there to get a checkup before now…ugh. life.

  15. says

I wear glasses – for distance vision, and I might be needing that eye exam as I might be starting to need…um reading glasses. Too much time at the computer!

  16. Kelley F says

No one wears glasses in our family, but we have to have my oldest daughter’s eyes checked regularly because she has had 4 Bone Marrow Transplants and the chemo and radiation she recieved can cause vision problems.

  17. kathy pease says

I need them but have not gone to get them checked yet..my eyes have gotten very bad since getting lyme disease

  18. Jessica Vaughan Gengler says

my 4 year old wears glasses because he lost one eye to retinal cancer last year and uses the glasses for protection for his other eye

  19. says

Both my husband and daughter wear corrective lenses / contacts. I am in desperate need of an eye exam… I KNOW I need glasses.

I wear contacts mostly & glasses in the evening & my husband wears his glasses 99% of the time & rarely contacts.

  21. Sylvie W says

I’m the four eyes in my family. I received my first pair around age 11, traditional tortoise shell, thick plastic frames. Lets cheer for how optical fashion has progressed. Now, even individuals who do not need glasses to see where them for an “image”. Hey, glasses ARE stylish these days.

  22. Debbie C says

Yes, several family members wear glasses so we’d love winning the Sears Optical gift card.

  23. Gaye M says

Everyone in my family wears glasses, at least occasionally (reading glasses). A couple of us wear them full time.

  24. Becky Grayson says

I wear glasses and my husband wears glasses and he really needs a checkup and probably new glasses. My oldest grandson wears glasses also but we just had his exam and new glasses right before school started.

  25. says

I was just telling my husband the other day that I needed to get new glasses and have my eyes reexamined. I noticed I was having trouble seeing the subtitles of the movie! Uh oh! :-)

  26. says

Heh. I could use some new frames. I’ve had them since I was in second grade. My husband has worn them since fourth grade. And our eight year old daughter just got her first Myopia diagnosis. Funfunfun!

  27. kendra W says

U do and my 5 year old son who has amblyopia wears them. This would really help out a lot. Thank you for the opportunity.

  28. Marie C says

Mom and Sis do, Dad should. My husband does and one of our sons should for far-sightedness. Our other son and daughter doesn’t. I probably should go see about reading glasses. Told my Mom I’ll get glasses when my arm isn’t long enough any more.

  29. SHEILA tf says

My son wears glasses or contacts. I wear glasses, but believe I am due for a stronger RX (darned computers are messing with our vision:), so this would be awesome, and I too have had a good experience with Sears Optical in the past.

  30. Lyndsey R. says

I wear glasses and the funny part is they are broke. I need them to see so I have had to super glue them together, they are plastic frames LOL. So I could really use this HaHa.

me but i mainly wear contacts because every pair of glasses i ever picked out looks great in the store and bad at home!

  32. Lucy Schwartz says

My husband and I both wear glasses . this gift card would come in handy. I have had my glasses for several years and the lens has become scratched.

  33. Carolyn Daley says

My boyfriend wears glasses. If I won I would try using the gift card so that I can get an eye exam because I do not have insurance that covers it. If the gift card is not usable for the exam than I would give it to my boyfriend when he is ready to purchase new glasses.

  34. Carolyn Gates says

I wear glasses, and have to have a special lens so this would come in handy if I won, thank you for the chance.

  35. Pam says

I would give this to my daughter who doesn’t have much money and her EX-fiance broke her new pair when he beat her up in May and she is wearing an old pair with the wrong prescription.

  36. Aaron Bretveld says

Everyone in my immediate family wears glasses except for my brother, who should wear glasses but refuses to admit it.
