With our ever growing 5 Minutes for Mom family we wanted to take a few minutes to check-in with our sister-sites. Here is just a sampling of some of the amazing posts that have gone up this week!
In a time where selling a house seems near impossible, where some businesses receive government bailouts while others struggle to stay open, we often find ourselves stuck, waiting. This week Gina wrote a great post, Weary in the Waiting, where she shares some beautiful song lyrics that she wrote while she was waiting…
Kelly, from Love Well, shares a great story at 5 Minutes for Parenting about her first garden and the fruits it yielded. However, this is not just a quick lesson in gardening! Check out The Garden: A Half Parable to see how Kelly’s garden didn’t grow exactly what she expected and how her first garden taught her an important lesson about parenting!
We are also so excited for 5 Minutes for Special Needs as they continue to grow! This week they unveiled the grand opening for their Classifieds Page! This is a page where families can post supplies they no long need or get supplies that they do need. It is an amazing extension of the 5 Minutes for Special Needs community and we are so proud!
I was so excited this week when 5 Minutes for Books featured one of my favorite books not once, but twice! The Classics Bookclub, a monthly feature at 5 Minutes for Books, discusses Les Miserables and it’s lessons in law, mercy, and loyalty in a great podcast. Then, managing editor Jennifer, discusses Les Miserables on Broadway and on the big screen in Books on Screen (and Stage): Les Miserables.
Are you getting ready for that Spring Cleaning? Really, are we ever ready for Spring Cleaning? Well, MacKenzie has compiled a list of her favorite sites and blogs at 5 Minutes for Going Green that can help you Go Green With Your Spring Cleaning. Make sure you take a look before you stock up on those cleaning supplies!
