Week 5 — Featured Commenter:
This week, we are featuring a loyal commenter of ours, The Happy Housewife.
As busy as she is and as tiring as her days must get, one thing is for certain, The Happy Housewife is definitely happy. Her blog gives off such a positive vibe, quickly drawing you in and bringing you back for more.
To say she is a busy woman would be an understatement. As a homeschooling mom of six with a seventh on the way, she definitely has a lot on her plate. I can’t even imagine how much laundry she must do in a week. And to think that with all that she does on a day to day basis, she still takes time to visit blogs and leave friendly and helpful comments. I think that is WONDERFUL.
The Happy Housewife describes herself as a a God fearing, military wife, stay at home (schooling) mom, to six silly kids ages 2 to 14. She loves to read, sew, bake, recycle, and bargain hunt.
In the summer of 2007 she heard about a man named Dave Ramsey. She and her husband quickly read his books and became committed to living a debt free life. On October 26, 2007 they called the Dave Ramsey show and screamed, “We’re Debt Free!” on the radio. It was a milestone moment in their lives. They continue to live a debt free life and hope to help others do the same.
She truly is an inspiration!!!!
When I reflect on how I spend my days, money and time, I see much room for improvement. I want to save, live debt free, spend quality time with my children each and every day. But sometimes, in the busyness of the day to day, I slack quite a bit on the things and people that are the most important.
Visiting The Happy Housewife fills me with such a desire to try harder. Reading over her recipes and helpful tips, I realize that it really does seem easy, and that I really could do it.
The Happy Housewife is like that one friend who motivates you to achieve your goals. When times are tough, she is there by your side helping you around each bend. She has of course been through trying times herself, but it is apparent that she has reigned victorious.
I DEFINITELY have a new favorite blog. I hope that you all take the time to visit The Happy Housewife. I wonder if you will bookmark as many of her posts as I did.
