Checking In With the Sisters – Let’s Discuss the Hunger Games

by Lolli

By the time this post is live, The Hunger Games will have been in the theaters for over 24 hours. Within the first 12 hours of its release, four members of my family had already seen it.

I suppose you could call us extreme. I simply call us big fans. We loved The Hunger Games books (one of my daughters has read the series nearly 10 times through).

As I was checking in with the sister sites this week, one post has got me coming back again and again. Even though I wrote my own Hunger Games post, I have really loved the discussion happening on 5 Minutes for Books.

If you have seen the movie or plan on seeing it sometimes soon – or maybe you don’t want to see it at all and would like to tell us why – be sure to stop by Jennifer’s Hunger Games discussion post:

Let’s Discuss the Hunger Games

  • What were your overall impressions — as a movie and as a book adaptation?
  • What was your favorite moment?
  • Was there something that disappointed you — either from an adaptation standpoint, or something that was unsettling to see?
  • Which character did you like best? Was this different from the book?
