Buying a Candle Can Make a Difference In the Life of a Hungry Child + a Giveaway

by Jennifer Sikora

My friend is adopting a beautiful little girl from Haiti. I have never been close to anyone who is going through the adoption process, so I have been overwhelmed with what all is involved in that whole scenario. My friend has been told that it could take 2 years before she ever gets her sweet daughter here to the U.S. so in the meantime she is doing everything she can to make sure that her daughter and her little friends have all of their needs met.

Saying that, I thought it was ironic when we were approached about sharing with you about a candle company with a mission — a mission to feed hungry children in Haiti.

The Bridgewater Candle Company has made it their mission to donate funds to feed the hungry children of Haiti. By purchasing the beautiful Sweet Grace special edition candle, Bridge Water Candle company will feed an orphan for a week.

One child can eat for a week.

My friend has shared her pictures with me of her sweet daughter and some of the other children living in the orphanage, so when we were asked  to help promote their cause, I jumped on it with both barrels!

About the Bridgewater Candle Company

For more than 10 years Bridgewater Candle Company have captured Snapshots of Life. This year we invite you to make new memories with our NEW Natural Soy Blend Wax Candles, Our NEW Home Decor Designs, Our NEW Products, and Our NEW Fragrances.

With an unchanged commitment to superior quality, we’re now wrapped in fresh, new, contemporary packaging. Our clean burn and strong, true fragrances are enjoyed by young and old around the world.

About Light a Candle, Feed a Child

In Port-au-Prince, Haiti, a group of children who had been enslaved, abandoned, or abused now have a home and family in an orphanage where they are learning to show love and grace to their broken community.

This candle is Bridgewater’s tribute to the human spirit, the desire to share sweet grace in all circumstances. For every Special Edition Candle you purchase, Bridgewater makes a donation to feed an orphaned child for a week.

How you and I can help

If you are interested in helping, here are some ways that you can contribute:

You can purchase any of the “Light a Candle, Feed a Child” candles. I was sent the Sweet Summer Tea and it smells heavenly! My whole house smelled wonderful! All of these candles sell for $20, but it is money well spent.

Share about the campaign through every social media outlet available — blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest. Get the word out about what Bridgewater Candle Company is trying to do!

Enter to win a pack of candles from Bridgewater Candle Company

a Rafflecopter giveaway

You will be entered to win a gift box that will include one candle each from the Light a Candle, Feed a Child line in the new fragrance, Sweet Summer Tea.

This giveaway will end April 2nd.

I was sent a box of products to try. All opinions are our own.
